Binderella: The Ragged Storytelling Collective, Filmmaker
After working together at Beyond the Border storytelling festival Kestrel Morton approached me to create a trailer for their new show Binderella.

This project was a real chance play and explore creatively with camerawork and sound design. Kestrel and I developed this idea together and found a location that lent itself to their beautiful dystopian writing. Shot in one day on location near Port Talbot, South Wales.

I was brought in to create digital content around Bristol Light Festival which took over the streets of Bristol in February 2020, and again in 2022, illuminating the city with a series of interactive light installations.

These films were made on the opening night of the festival. I put together a small team for each production, joined by Christian Britten and Tom Booth on camera and Louis Weinzweig in the edit, we turned the films around in under 24 hours to promote the festival weekend.

In Between Time Summit, Filmmaker

From provocative panels and UK premieres of international performances, to lighting up caves, and motorcycle rides, IBT welcomed audiences across the city.

Thanks to Christian Britten and Tom Booth who joined me on the project.

National Theatre Wales / Common Wealth: We’re Still Here, Filmmaker

I produced two films for National Theatre Wales for ‘We’re Still Here’, a co-production with Common Wealth which took place in a warehouse in Port Talbot overlooking the steel works. A challenge with filmmaking for new theatre shows is often promotional material is required while rehearsals are still in progress, before the actual sets and costumes are completed.

The teaser trailer featuring two actors from the show was made early in the rehearsal process, then the production trailer was filmed on the opening night and turned around quickly to be used to promote the show’s two week run.

Refrain: The Future of Remembrance, Filmmaker

Working with Situations and artist Verity Standen this film was made around Refrain, a national performance piece which took place over the summer of 2017. Refrain explored the history of conscientious objectors and how their story fits into how we remember conflict.

This film was premiered at Arnolfini in Bristol alongside a Q&A from Verity Standen and Clare Doherty, founder and Artistic director of Situations.
