Distance makes the heart grow fonder
Sam Irving & Charlotte Lewis
Created in COVID lockdown, this podcast is a love letter to the outdoors, written by adventurers, wild swimmers, surfers, poets and musicians to the places they were missing the most.
Combining multi-format storytelling, poetry, music and binaural soundscape we take listeners on a journey to our special places.
Supported by Arts Council Wales and The National Lottery.
Something About the Sea: SERIES 1
Sam Irving and ANgus Garway
An adventure podcast written, recorded and released live during a 300km expedition, walking the length of Les Landes on the west coast of France, surfing and wildcamping, carrying boards, tents, cameras and podcasting gear on modified beach fishing trolley chariots along the full route.
We used the 6 week journey to explore themes of adventure, resilience, mental health and finding purpose.
Something about the sea: Series 2
sam Irving
Following our France adventure, I invited some friends and fellow adventurers to join me for a short series of conversations- continuing the themes of adventure, resilience and wellbeing from our journey through France.
I speak to Seb Vincent about driving his van from Bristol to Morocco, Ben Stringer on jumping an iron ore train across the desert in Mauritania (pictured above), and Ella Friess on walking the Camino del Santiago across northern Spain.
